it's all happening here....new path unfolding ahead of us

well what a month it's been......within one week we have sold our house....so it's 'goodbye' surburbia  and surrey and 'hello' to country living in the cotswolds.  before you know it i'll have chickens and chicory..maybe not straight away.
it is exciting and daunting to be facing this new direction and it's something that keeps me awake at night....but i feel it's a fresh new start for all of us.....not that we won't be thrilled to have visiting guests from our old life but what lies ahead of us and the potential for change is what drives me.

kapla close up

look at the beautiful simplicity of this toy...it's called Kapla and it is a fantastically tactile, open ended addition to any family . this is a creation that hubbie and daughter came up with...the possibilities are only limited by the imagination.....

NEW YEAR....new start

i know, i know, i'm rubbish at updating this blog...how is it that LIFE gets in the way of all the fun stuff....well guess what? LIFE is the fun stuff..it's so easy to set your mind to a negative response to all the mundane, repetitive and uninspiring things that need to be done every day/week/month but do you know what? they still need to be done whether you want to or not so try to find a way past feeling frustrated and thwarted...try to find all those minutes spent ironing/washing/school running etc etc etc etc!!! as opportunities for contemplation/meditation or even (my absolute favourite) DAYDREAMING......which is seriously underrated...allowing your thoughts to wander unheeded can lead to something wonderfully creative even if it nevers comes to fruition....it's a reward in itself.....                              so anyway that's what i'm hoping to keep in mind this year....
LESS STRESS MORE DAYDREAMS    xxx Em         ps Emma does not advocate daydreaming whilst on school run and objects in mirror may be larger that they appear (remember that one boys!)
